The Oldest Gay Bar on Capitol Hill at a new location
After closing its location on Broadway, The 'oldest gay bar on Capitol Hill' reopened in December 2007 on East Olive Way. The sign above its door reads: "Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends" and it speaks to the neighborhood feel that should be associated with one of the oldest bars in the area. Even if it is at a new location, it's still known as the neighborhood bar.

The Elite, the oldest gay bar on Capitol Hill in Seattle, was forced to close nearly a year ago at its former location on Broadway. The new Elite has Great prices, Great service, fun place to go and now open until 2am every night. Pool table, darts, good digital jukebox, good seating and great tacos a couple doors down. I really like this place, nothing like the old Elite. The sign above the bar says "Enter As Strangers - Leave As Friends." It never seemed more evident than at the new Elite.

Recently re-opened after moving from Broadway...much larger. Great staff, draws from all age groups. Comfortable and fun.
