Karl Kamakahi is the founder of the De LaCreme vision and has been Djing since 1989. From Pearl City Hawaii, Karl was taught by legendary Hawaiian DJ "James Coles". He began experimenting with freestyle, transitioned into techno, and eventually felt the most at home with house music by 1992. Karl has lived and played all over the mid-west in places like Minneapolis, Denver, Fargo, Rapid City, Madison, St. Paul, and Bismarck.
In Seattle, he has played at numerous venues such as REBAR, The Last Supper Club, Crimson, Heavens, Trinity, Merchants Cafe, Docs Underground, See Sound Lounge, EMP, Chapel and Noir in Portland.
Karl is now a permanent resident of Flammable ! Which is at ReBar on Sundays, going strong now for 14 years ! Headed by the Seattle's own Brian Lyons. Karl Kamakahi released the first ever mix cd to represent FLAMMABLE ..... Karl is now rooted deep in Seattle's House scene not only as a constantly contributing Dj ..... but also as a supportive community House Head ...." It's good to be Home....here in Seattle "
