2014 SVC Pride Quads Grass Tournament

Seattle Volleyball Club is hosting its 5th Annual Quads Pride Grass tournament on Saturday, June 28th to celebrate Seattle Pride 2014. Proceeds of this annual event will benefit Kraken VC, a youth volleyball program based on Capitol Hill and NAGVA Championships 2015 in Seattle. All teams/participants are welcome, as long as they follow the team eligibility rules below. Last year we had 45 teams compete across 3 divisions, lets get to 60 teams this year! Please make sure you are parked legally at the Park. REPORT TIME 7:15am - Court & Tournament Setup 8:00am - Player Check In Begins 8:30am - Pool Play Begins Every player must be paid up and sign the waiver prior to playing their first point. Team Captains will be handed a blank roster to be filled out and signed by each participant, and returned prior to playing your first pool match. VENUE Judkins Park - Upper Football / Baseball Fields 2150 S. Norman Street Seattle, WA 98144 Judkins Park is accessible via several streets, 23rd Ave, Charles Street, and S Norman. We are playing in the Upper Football / Baseball Field. Please make sure you are parked legally! LUNCH PROVIDED In the spirit of Seattle's Pride Celebration, a BBQ lunch will be provided. Further details to come. COST $25 / Player NETS We should have enough nets for the tournament. If we need additional nets and you your's is used we will give you a $10 credit off of your individual entry fee. FORMAT Grass 4's tournament, the Net will be at Men's height, all Men and Women are welcome to participate! We will offer separate Women's Divisions this year where the Net will be at Women's Height. We will hold a full round of pool play and then seed into a single or modified double elimination bracket for tournament play. Divisions may be combined for pool play and then split for the tournament depending on division size. RULES We will be abiding by the current Outdoor rules for 4's competition. DIVISIONS We are currently accepting team entries for 4 Men's Divisions, and 2 Women's Divisions. (Women can play in either) Men's: D1 (AA/A), D2 (BB) and D3 (B), and D4 (C). Women's: D1 (AA/A) and D2 (BB/B). Please see below for division eligibility information. If a player does not hold a NAGVA or SVC rating, said player's division eligibility is at the discretion of the tournament director. Divisions may be split into Gold, Silver and Bronze flights brackets after Pool Play depending on the size of the division.
