ADDITIONS/CHANGES!

-- Quality Control pre-check. We plan on having a check done at the door for quality this year, to ensure that only fashionable, funky, quality goods are making it to the table (have noticed a decline in quality at the last two events). Be prepared with extra items in case some get returned to you, or just come with 20 solid pieces of awesome.
Any damaged, stained, broken, ratty, generally unfashionable, too-well-worn clothing will NOT be accepted as swap items. If you have these items to donate to Sight Connection, you're still welcome to bring them to donate (and get out of your house, lol) but bring them bagged separately in a bag marked "Sight Connection." Their charity sells clothing that's worn out by the pound for textile reuse, earning money to support services for the blind.
DOOR PRIZE CHANGES!
-- New, numerous door prizes!
-- Win exactly what you want! Buy extra prize tickets for $1 each.
-- Each prize will have it's own ticket entry, so you can enter for WHAT YOU WANT!

Please remember to bring EXTRA CASH to tip the wonderful volunteers, vendors, and service providers! ♥

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
WHAT WILL BE THERE?
- This clothing exchange will be focused on clean, undamaged, fashionable, wearable items (for men and women).
- FALL and WINTER garments! Please try to keep to the season requested so that we can build current, useful wardrobes for each other.
- MEN'S CLOTHES. There is a bigger and bigger selection of men's clothes at every event - be sure to invite your fashionable man-friends!
- UNISEX SECTION! Many clothes will be moved here for easy browsing by either "gender."
- PLUS SIZES. Come one, come all! If you are plus size, we welcome you! There will be items available for you, but if you are not able to find anything, I will happily refund your cover charge.
- COSTUMES and UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATERS! Please only bring costumes in great condition!
- BURNING MAN! We hope your burn was fabulous. If you have things that you didn't end up using, or that you're ready to break up with, clean them up and bring them on by! Please no playafied clothes. <3
- KIDS clothes. For parents, there will be a separate table to swap kids clothes. However, these items will not count toward the entry item quota, so please come prepared with 20 of your own items. This table is simply for your benefit. ♥
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WHERE DO I TRY ON?
Trying on can happen in the bathroom stalls, or out in the open. Please dress appropriately for this (spandex workout clothes to slip things over are highly advised). There will be mirrors throughout the building, but please use each other as mirrors, too - that's part of the fun!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WHERE DO I PUT MY STUFF?
---"SAFE ZONE" - There will be a designated "Safe Zone," where you can leave your bags that you want to take home. Shopping in the "Safe Zone" is OFF LIMITS. As this area may not be staffed all the time, please do not leave items of value here (leave them at home, wear a fanny pack, or use the coat check). Use at your own risk. If you are seen "shopping" in this area, you will be asked to leave.
---MOST ADVISED: leave as much as you can at home and use a FANNY PACK! Items may walk off (this includes shoes, so be careful if you take them off), so keep them on you, or don't bring them at all. Thank you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WILL THERE BE CLOTHES FOR ME?
The more people we have involved, the better the selection and the more fun we will all have, so please SHARE THIS EVENT and INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND COWORKERS! ♥
If you are plus sized and have concerns about finding an appropriate fit, message Michelle Ferris privately.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WHERE DO I PARK?
--- PLEASE CARPOOL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! Rideshare group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/304925369708388/
--- There is street parking available, but it has been annoyingly limited due to unexpected construction. EXPO garage is right on Warren & Republican and is nearest the Vera Project - there are 65 spaces available there, and they are $6 all day after 3pm. There are other garages/lots nearby ($5-$12).
-- LOADING ZONE: Loading zone on Warren & Republican will be staffed from 1:30-4:30pm. Pull up, drop your items off in the loading zone, park your car, then pick up your items to bring into the swap.
--- Please leave valuables at home or safely hidden. Neither Seattle Clothing Exchange nor Vera Project is responsible for lost or stolen items.

WHO WILL BE PLAYING MUSIC?
2:00 - 4:00: Ramiro Gutierrez
4:00 - 6:00: Kadeejah E Streets
Live Painting by Joey Masciotra!
Enjoy the music! Please feel free to EXPRESS YOURSELF while shopping! Let's DANCE!!! ♥

ARE THERE FOOD OR BEVERAGES?
-- Catered Food, thanks to Jaici Austin, our amazing kitchen manager! She will be providing delicious meals for you at a reasonable price.
-- DRINKS: There is a water fountain available. Feel free to bring your own drinks in if you would like something to sip on.
-- TEA: Complimentary tea provided by Holly Furen of Necessitea!

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE CLOTHES/PROFIT?
Profits from the door/concessions go toward the event space, supplies, marketing, and my efforts to keep this event going. I will be working to make SCE non-profit within the year, also.
All glam and furred clothing left over will be donated to Slutgarden (a Burning Man camp). Other clothes will go to SightConnection, enhancing the abilities of people with vision loss to live active, independent lives (http://www.sightconnection.org/).

Here's hoping to see you there! Please get in touch if there is anything I can do, or questions I can answer. Keep checking back for updates!
As always, thank you so much for helping these events become a great success, fighting for sustainability through your choice in shopping, and for being a loyal supporter of the Seattle Clothing Exchange. You are appreciated.
Love and Light!
