Join ASMP Seattle for an evening of business insights, photographs, and fun, at the studio of photographers Nate Gowdy, Jonathan Vanderweit, Leanna Karg and Bob Snell.
Using his recent work as a case study (a diverse, energetic, humorous project focused on drag performers), Nate will deconstruct his creative process and business strategies, and show how he’s leveraged the power of personal projects to grow his brand and expand his commercial work.
Jonathan's recent work comes from a creative exploration for a corporate client, with the goal of communicating ideas around collaboration, technology, and scale through practical photography. Most of the photos are multiple exposures, and all use an RGB three-light setup. This particular photo is five small Lack shelves from Ikea, a seamless (gray), and some dark plexiglass.
After the presentation, food and refreshments will be provided; we’ll grill on the rooftop deck of the historic building formerly known as “the Ellis Island of Seattle.” Located in Seattle’s International District, this grand Depression-era building is now known as Inscape Arts and houses a vibrant community of artists.
Mark your calendar! This event is free to members and non-members of ASMP.
