EULOGY - Comedy Performance by Kevin Kent

Eleanor Mae (Kevin Kent) is a professional mourner in a one-stop-shop suburban funeral parlor called Bolten’s Funerals, run by the Funeral Director (Joe Kery) the very man that laid old Mr. Bolten out, and that is a compliment in the dismal trade, having your mentor ask that you embalm him. Eleanor hosts the bereaved in the Remembrance Reception Room as they say farewell to their Loved One. Eleanor has found the perfect place of employment because she always has one foot in the world of the living and one foot amongst the dead. Eleanor entertains the ‘energies left by the memories’ of the departed. (The Audience is encouraged to bring in their family photos, which will be lovingly handled and used as inspiration for the fictional histories of each evening’s “loved one”.) Eleanor interprets each photo, filling out the images with stories of glory, triumph or defeat. She tells the secrets and brings to life the desire and longing hidden in the images
