The goal of this community series is to offer low-cost opportunities to learn about film and gender studies and to inspire more women to get involved as creators in the genre. Scarecrow Video sponsors the class in their screening room. This is an event for community members 17 and up. Scarecrow Video is wheelchair accessible. We reserve the right to refuse admission to those under the influence of alcohol or hard drugs.

Evan J. Peterson is a college professor, author, and journalist. He is a Clarion West alum, and he received his MFA from Florida State University. His writing has been featured in The Stranger, Weird Tales, Unspeakable Horror 2, Queers Destroy Horror, and The Rumpus. His books include The Midnight Channel, Skin Job, and Ghosts in Gaslight, Monsters in Steam: Gay City 5.
