A new music and culinary event is coming to Seattle, from SE Productions and Washington Music Theater. New Orleans Food & Funk Festival (NOFF) is the perfect celebration for creole food fanatics and soul music enthusiasts looking for southern flavors and Northwest vibes. The event will take place at the Washington Music Theater (WaMu Theater), adjacent to CenturyLink Field, September 30, 2016.
The NOFF Food Quarter will be a soulfully crafted gathering of our most southern inspired PNW chefs and restaurants offering dishes available for purchase. Alongside SE Productions, Chef Matt Lewis of Restaurant Roux will be curating the mouth-watering selections. Toulouse Petit and a dozen other area restaurants will help Chef Lewis bring Big Easy flavors to Seattle with NOLA inspired dishes.
Attendees will enjoy dishes like gumbo, crawfish, shrimp and grits, po boys, hush puppies and the best beignets in Seattle, while sipping specialty cocktails from the “Voodoo Pharmacy” (a signature festival bar).
In addition to the food, the event will showcase a talented line-up of musicians hailing from both New Orleans and the Northwest. The artists featured at NOFF’s Music Discovery Stage will be curated by the team from Upstream Music Fest + Summit, Paul G. Allen’s brand new music festival coming to Pioneer Square in May 2017. The NOFF Music Discovery Stage is headlined by Jon Cleary & the Absolute Monster Gentlemen and featuring Polyrhythmics, Ural Thomas & the Pain, with more artist announcements to follow.
Tickets will be on sale Tuesday, August 16 at CenturyLink Field box office and Ticketmaster.com.
