In "I'm Judging You," the sharp wit that Ajayi's dedicated followers have come to expect ricochets throughout essays such as "When Baehood Goes Bad," "Nobody Wins at the Feminism Olympics," and "So You're Kind of a Big Deal on the Internet." Luvvie Ajayi is an equal opportunity shade thrower, and none of us are safe from her gimlet eye.
Lindy West is a columnist at The Guardian, a contributor to This American Life, and a freelance writer whose work focuses on feminism, social justice, humor and body image. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Vulture, Jezebel, The Stranger, and others. Of her debut book, "Shrill," a Slate reviewer said, ""Both sharp-toothed and fluid…To see so much of West's writing in one place is to appreciate her range. West is propulsively entertaining."
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first seated.
This event is supported by The Seattle Public Library Foundation, author series sponsor Gary Kunis, and media sponsor The Seattle Times and presented in partnership with Elliott Bay Book Company. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
