An alternative space for queer/trans* folks to dance to music we know and love, honor our diverse cultures, and celebrate our bodies. Our intention is to present the diversity of music created by people of color across the U.S., Latin-America, and the Caribbean while also participating in body positive, consensual booty shaking/perreo/meneo. CARAMELO is a queer and trans* dance party created for queer and trans* Latinxs/people of color. We ask that all participants respect the intention of this overall space as well as the P.O.C.(people of color)-centric nature of the space. ***ALL PARTY-GOERS PARTICIPATING IN RACISM, SEXISM, MACHISMO, HOMOPHOBIA, TRANSPHOBIA, FATPHOBIA, SLUT-SHAMING, ABLEISM, ANTI-BLACKNESS, FEMMEPHOBIA, XENOPHOBIA, ETC. ABANDONAR EL ESPACIO DE INMEDIATO.*** ********************************************************************* Accessibility info: There are no stairs at the event and dance space and bathroom are located on the first floor. There is going to be a platform for the bar now that we are moving to the bigger dining area, please let us know if you need assistance buying any refreshments. The doors to the event open in, there will be a door person that will open these doors if anyone needs assistance. There are two bathrooms, both bathrooms have doors that open in, and both measures 30 inches across. The first bathroom has an additional door before the toilet that measures 24 inches across. Both sinks in both bathroom are 33.5 inches off of the ground. Bathrooms will have signage over them signifying that they are genderless. Attendees are asked to limit their use of scented products for this event. There will be wipes if you need to clean off any scented lotions or skin products
