Sugar Plum Gary devised and performed by Emmett Montgomery 18th & Union: an arts space Advance tickets: $10/$15/$20 At the door: $15/$20 Somewhat beloved storyteller and comedian Emmett Montgomery (Last Comic Standing Season 9/one of City Arts Magazine's 2015 artists of the year) puts on red footie pajamas with Santa Claus faces for feet and becomes Sugar Plum Gary: a kind-hearted "santanist" who has been possessed by the holiday spirit and lives in a reality in which Christmas is everyday and Santa is both ancient and terrifying and has a conversation with the audience on how they best can survive the night. Each evening is a uniquely educational and fun nightmare.
