We're so excited to announce that this year's Trans Pride stage program will be BILINGUAL in both English and Spanish thanks to our partnerships with Entre Hermanos and Somos Seattle! Let's give a warm welcome to emcee Adriana Torres!
Additionally, 2 ASL interpreters will be present on stage.
We will host community tables again this year featuring groups and organizations that are Trans-led or serve trans communities.

ACCESSIBILITY:
Trans Pride 2017's Accessibility Team has been working hard to make this year as accessible as possible for as many people as possible! Disability Justice is Social Justice, and Gender Justice League and Trans Pride are committed to accessible spaces for all who will attend.
Getting to the event:
The event is accessible by multiple modes of public transportation, including the Link Light Rail and First Hill Streetcar. Additionally, the following bus lines have stops very close to Cal Anderson Park: 8, 9, 10, 11, 43, 49, 60.
March Route Information:
This year, we are inviting folks who use mobility aids, scooters, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices along with individuals with children to lead the march with the Black Lives Matter contingent in order to set the pace. HOWEVER, due to the conditions of the street, there are several areas on the march route that may not be accessible to everyone. The street where the march begins, E John, has an uphill incline as well as some areas of the road that are cracked, broken, or uneven. On 12th the street becomes more level and the road itself is in better condition, though there are still occasional cracks and rough areas. Finally, E Olive is likely the least accessible part of the route, as the street is extremely rough and uneven. The sidewalk may be used as an alternative means for participating in this part of the march, but it is important to be aware that there is a noticeable downhill incline. See a map of the route here: http://www.transprideseattle.org/schedule-route/
General Event Accessibility:
We have always maintained accessibility as one of our CORE VALUES.This year Trans Pride will be A SMOKE FREE, VAPE FREE, CANNABIS SMOKE FREE space. If you need to smoke, please smoke 50 FEET AWAY from the park, next to the Cal Anderson park fountain. In addition, ASL Interpreters are confirmed. There will be an ADA compliant portable toilet onsite, which will be located on the southern sidewalk near the playfield. We will also be providing accessible seating to wheelchair users and folks with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and chemical sensitivities. If you have any questions about how to be scent free for this event, the following resources are a great start: (https://creatingcollectiveaccess.wordpress.com/making-space-accessible-is-an-act-of-love-for-our-communities/ and http://www.peggymunson.com/mcs/fragrancefree.html)
Seattle's Trans Pride also will have a "SPOON TENT" or a lower noise chill space for autistic, neurodiverse and crowd sensitive people to use. We will be providing a limited amount of snacks for those utilizing the tent.
