Recently, SOSea founding member and current ambassador, Robbie Turner was attacked on Capitol Hill, in broad daylight, at SCCC campus. He was nearly slashed with a knife. Robbie was punched several times in front of a crowd of onlookers. Nobody did anything to help. As a result of his attack, Robbie Turner had his mobile phone taken. The assailant got away.
Unfortunately, Robbie's story isn't unique. Criminals, brandishing knives or guns, have been attacking members of our community and it is getting worse. You hear about someone being attacked nearly every single day.
NO MORE!
SAVE THE DATE!
INVITE EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
Let’s come together and make sure that the criminals get the message that CRIME IS NOT WELCOME ON CAPITOL HILL. Join us in this act of solidarity with the victims of violence. Join us in this act of compassion and awareness in the face of ignorance and hate. Most of all – join us because you are a citizen who gives a damn about the lives of others and because our safety should matter to us all!
